- Hair – A standard test of one-and-one-half inches of head hair can provide several month window to detect drug usage on around six different types of drugs. This method is the most costly however, provides the largest window of detection.
- Oral Fluid – Mouth swab drug tests can detect drugs in a donor’s system immediately after use and for up to 2-3 days afterwards, depending on the drug. It can be done anywhere without the need for specialized collection facilities which makes it ideal for performing tests immediately after accidents or for random instances.
- Urine – Urine testing is the most common screening method and detects recent use, typically in the previous one to three days and covers a wide range of illicit and prescription drugs.
