National Criminal Database Search – The National Criminal Database pulls criminal information from over 525 million records to identify potential matches based on name and date of birth. Because database coverage varies significantly by state and FCRA regulations require the maximum possible accuracy, any potential record must be verified at the county court before being reported (an additional fee applies). Note: Some states and counties do not report to the National Criminal Database. Therefore, for comprehensive results, we recommend pairing this search with a county or statewide criminal search based on the applicant’s residency history.
County Criminal Record Search – CoreScreening’s nationwide network of thousands of court researchers work diligently to obtain the most up-to-date available criminal records from the county courts. Since some counties offer automated results and others require a researcher to walk-in to the court house, turn around time for results varies by county.
National Sexual Offender Registry – Individuals who are listed in this registry have typically been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor sexual offense against adults or children, and as a result, they must register within the state in which they reside. The National Criminal Database Search automatically searches this registry.
